DPF is a small company that ships a lot of orders. All orders are shipped via First Class or Priority Mail within the US, and Air Mail to Canada and overseas. Because of physical limitations, we ship only once per week, so the length of time to ship your order can vary from 7 to 13 days from the time we receive your order. We wish we could do better, but our products are worth the wait.
All orders are shipped in UNMARKED boxes.
Sharon collects a week's worth of orders and takes them home for pre-processing. She sorts them, checks for errors, prepares shipping labels, and performs a multiple of other tasks necessary to assure accuracy. This takes a few days (usually over a weekend). She then brings the orders back to Tommy's house for actual shipping.
On shipping day, boxes of merchandise which are normally kept in closets and storage rooms are spread out on Tommy's living room floor and shipping boxes are prepared. It makes quite a mess, as you can see. That's Sharon sitting on the floor.
By the end of the day the shipments are ready to go to the Post Office, and the mess is cleared up and put back into the closets and storage rooms. Tommy's living room looks normal again.
When you place an order you receive an automatic, detailed confirmation via email. While not normally necessary, for additional Order Status (see Shipping Information) you can send an email to babytom@well.com. Be sure to include your "DPF Order Number".
Your privacy is totally protected by DPF.
Yahoo (who "hosts" the DPF Store) does NOT save or use detailed customer information.
DPF maintains customer information only in an off-line data base and does not (never has and never will) disclose customer information (name, address, etc.) to anyone for any reason whatsoever. This promise has been kept for 20 years.
Items in the DPF Store are in stock almost 100% of the time, so that back-orders are hardly ever necessary.
A small percentage of items (mostly clothing) are manufactured and shipped directly from the factory. These Items may take somewhat longer (6 to 8 weeks) to receive, and this is indicated by Item in the online store.
In rare cases where an Item is out of stock, it is back ordered and shipped as soon as it becomes available (usually within a week or two at the most). You will receive a Back Order notice when your order is processed.
DPF accepts Returns and Exchanges for four possible reasons.
1 - If you receive faulty merchandise, you may return the Item to DPF for a FREE replacement, credit or refund.
2 - If we ship the wrong item by mistake, you may return the Item to DPF for a FREE replacement, credit or refund.
3 - If you ordered the wrong size , you may return the Item to DPF for exchange (provided that it has not been worn), but must include a $2 charge for each Item Exchanged.
4 - If you are dissatisfied with any Item, you may return the Item to DPF for exchange (provided that it has not been worn), but must include a $2 charge for each Item Exchanged. An exception to this rule includes all videos or audio items which may not be exchanged unless they are faulty.
Sales Tax is charged automatically only where it is applicable (currently only if you live in California).
DPF ships many orders outside the US and Canada.
Prices shown in the DPF Online Store include shipping to anywhere in the US and Canada. However, we need to add an additional 20% of the merchandise price to cover shipping orders overseas (outisde the US and Canada). This, by the way, is virtually equivalent to the 30% charged in our printed Catalog.
The DPF Store provides the option of creating a personal "Wallet" where you can enter your personal information (name, address, credit card number, etc.). On future orders you only need to enter your "Wallet" Code, and the system picks up your personal information automatically - thus saving you time and effort.
When you receive your Order Confirmation via email, you will also be give the opportunity to "Rate" DPF''s Products and Services. We appreciate your feedback and use this information to improve our service. Please be fair in your rating and take into account the small size of our operation. We also appreciate it when you give us a chance to make good on any problems you encounter.
