Hey, Girlfriends (girl babies!). I don't know where you're hiding please COME OUT AND PLAY WITH ME! On a recent trip to the zoo with Tommy I remarked, while climbing a tree, that I felt like an endangered species being one of the only girl babies in our ever-growing group (girl, as in having certain parts to prove it) - he, he. I've talked to only two women in DPF over the past five years, but I know there are many more out there who just haven't gotten involved in a big group of little guys and girls. Who knows why? Maybe because they've had no problem finding partners/Daddies or Mommies. Maybe because they just haven't stumbled upon DPF yet. I've heard there was a comment recently (and maybe a legitimate one) that DPF focuses on boys only. Well, I've never seen a NO GIRLS ALLOWED sign on this clubhouse door. So if you're a teeny, tiny girl, just lift up your arms and let this totally fun group pick you up. No bites or fights - just happiness and freedom.
Lately I've been looking forward to having a pajama party with a group of girls. You know - lots of whispering late into the night, pizza and ice cream sundaes, playing records to the glow of the nightlight. Hopefully we'd have some adult supervision, or we could get into some serious mischief. Once I make contact with a few other girls, we can talk about where and when. By the way, for the record - this isn't a gay thing. It's just girls being girls, and maybe acting a little older than we actually are (one or two, although all ages are welcome).
I just moved to San Francisco last month. Life is very new and wonderful, and I feel fresh and alive, and unhurt by the world. The zoo was SO much fun. Tommy and I were both wearing overalls - mine short and his long. I got to meet Marky, who I absolutely loved. He's such a big, strong cute guy. Tommy was, as usual, a cute little toddler combined with an encyclopedia of historical and other information, and a lot of fun. My big guy (one of the friends I'm staying with) had me under constant supervision as we visited the bears, tigers, hippos, rhinos and the petting zoo, of course. Tommy and Marky ever persuaded me to go in the bug house (eeeee!).
(Dear Friends, it was so absolutely marvelous for Marky and I to spend a day with Denise and Tom (her boyfriend) at the Zoo, plus our side trip to Ocean Beach and the Beach Chalet for a meal and some good beer. Denise and Tom make an adorable couple, and I was really excited just watching the love in their eyes when they looked at each other. Denise climbed the tree just like a little girl (see photo).
Her letter is also important because it touches on a subject that concerns many members - how to find more gals and get them to join our club. I am somewhat happy to say that our Web pages have resulted in an increase in the number of women listed in the Roster. The August issue's Roster contains 14 women, which is more than we've ever had in the past. I hope your letter will encourage even more.
For those of you who may not remember or are new to DPF, Denise is the adorable, charming "little" girl who joined me and other AB's on the Jerry Springer Television show some years ago. She was still in college at that time, and her bravery and wonderful contribution to that show still amazes me. Now I have had the pleasure of seeing her again. She is still her adorable self but more assured and "mature" (well, you know what I mean). I almost feel like her Daddy (nah, not me, maybe her older brother "almost" out of diapers). She and Tom would make wonderful roommates.
Love, Tommy
