A typical rating might look like this: 159, 9, 9, 30=3.4. This would mean that the site has been rated Excellent 159 times, Good 9 times, Fair 9 times and Poor 30 times. We use a "weighted average" to summarize all these rating, which averages 3.4. It is this weighted average (3.4) that determines the sequence of the Links, with the Best Rated Sites at the Top
It's a shame. As you browse hundreds of sites listed on our DPF Link pages, you are going to find other Link Pages. In face, you are going to find some of the same links we have, again and again and again. Not as many as DPF, however.
Other Link lists have no ratings, most have no descriptions, no logical sequence, no regular updates, no categories. That is why DPF has giving the AB/DL community one place to keep this information up-to-date for everyone, with all the benefits you will read about.
The DPF Link Pages are kept on a "server" which is completely separate from the main DPF site. When you access the DPF Link Pages, you are not connected to DPF. There are no links in the DPF Link Pages that take you back to the main DPF site. The DPF Link pages are also totally fair to everyone. All the ratings are done by you, not by DPF. The DPF Link Pages serve no other function than to help AB's and DL's make the best use of their time when they browse the web.

On September 21, 1998 (while Tommy was on vacation), disaster struck all members of the AB/DL community. Evidence indicates that one of our own people (an AB/DL like you and me) did a very evil deed to hurt every one of us - out of pure selfishness. Here's the story.
First a little background. Since 1980 DPF has had one guiding, basic principle - to increase the happiness of adult babies and diaper lovers around the world. In recent years this principle has been incorporated into DPF's web sites in unique and important ways, including: (a) a huge On-Line Roster, (b) "Rated" Link Pages and (c) the most popular AB/DL Chat Rooms and Conferences on the net. While all of these things are FREE to everyone, they cost DPF (Tommy personally) over $20,000 per year to create and maintain.
The principle behind DPF's Rated Link Pages is quite unique on the net. By permitting members of the community to "rate" Links, it is possible to eliminate the need to wade through almost 1,000 AB/DL sites to find what is best for you. This service has proven invaluable, for both newbies and experienced browsers.
Maintaining DPF's Link "Ratings" requires a considerable amount of constant effort, because a small group of people keep trying to manipulate their site Ratings by "loading" the system with false and/or duplicate ratings. For this reason, Rating "logs" must be examined every day to catch and eliminate dishonesty from the system. One particular member of our community has been guilty of attempting to "load" the system in his favor almost on a daily basis.
There is strong evidence that this same person managed to "break in" to DPF's system on September 21st and delete part of the Link data base. Then he attempted to recreate his Link at the top of the rating system.
In one fell swoop he destroyed links and ratings that YOU and rest of the community had built during the past nine months (for your mutual happiness). He did it out of total and complete selfishness (or jealousy). Although strong circumstantial evidence points to this person, it is not strong enough to make a public accusation. He knows who he is, and he will have to live with his guilt forever.
I first discovered this disaster when I returned from vacation. For a few days I wasn't sure whether I wanted to rebuild the system (at a cost of many thousands of dollars) or just let it slide away (because it is of absolutely no benefit to me whatsoever). Then my inner need to provide happiness to the community clicked in again, and I decided to rebuild the system from scratch and to make it bigger and better than before. Of course security and backup procedures will be improved so it will not happen again.
Your help is needed. If you see a Link that is missing, you can add it yourself (see Add A Link) The "Rating" system needs you help too. Many previous ratings have been lost, so your ratings will be more current important than ever.
Sincerely,
(PS - As of 10 months later the ratings are coming in at an average of almost 200 per day and have accumulated 0ver 60,000. Many thanks to everyone)

There are three ways that you can help improve DPF's Link Pages. It's easy to do, and it can be fun.
