AB/DL Parties
Help and Guidelines
Updated August 28, 2000
Dear Party Planner/Giver,
Please let me take this opportunity to offer some help and guidelines to being AB/DL Party Planner/Giver. Having a party will give you the opportunity to bring happiness to a lot of people and to gain a great deal of satisfaction for yourself. The rapid expansion of DPF on the World Wide Web will lead to more and bigger parties and get-togethers in the near future. I think you will find these Guidelines helpful and beneficial.
Parties reported on the DPF Web pages are open for everyone to see, not just people who are listed in the DPF Roster. All AB's and DL's are encouraged to promote your parties to the broadest possible audience, including using the DPF Internet Party pages.
You want to announce your party to the broadest
possible audience in your area. Send your Party Announcement in
a timely fashion either:
(1) by post mail to DPF, PMB #127, 38 Miller Avenue, Mill Valley,
CA 94941, or (2) by email to
Tommy.
When you do this, your announcement will be
|
Note: In order to have your party posted and sent as described above, you MUST be listed in the DPF Roster. |
You can also send your announcement via Post Mail to Listed DPF members in your local area who do not have email. You can use DPF's Mail Forwarding System to Announce your Party. You can also send your announcement via Email to people listed in the Roster who live near you.
Your Party can also be announced in any other media that you choose, such as a private BBS, or even another Adult Baby organization or Newsletter.

When you plan or hold a party, please send

CA 94941, or (2) by email to
Tommy.

Types of Parties or Get-Togethers
There are no limitations or restrictions as to the type of party or get-together that you can plan. You can have a party at a private home or a get-together at a public place such as a restaurant. Party givers can be as creative as they wish when planning events. Good examples can be found in past issues of the Newsletter, in BabyClub and in our online Party Plans and Party Reports.
Hints on Holding an AB/DL Party
In the past some AB/DL's have asked for suggestions and hints on holding a party. Basically we have found that an AB/DL Party is like any other party except that the party goers have special interests to share with each other.
Preparing for a party is quite simple. The first thing you need to do is to create your Party Invitation. You can send invitations by email, and you can also make copies to be mailed out (using DPF's free Mail Forwarding System). Don't forget to send a copy of your invitation to Tommy to be included in the Newsletter and DPF's online Party Pages. By looking through the DPF Rosters (or the bigger Roster in BabyClub) you can determine how wide a geographical area you want to include. Past experience indicates that less than half of the people who receive your invitation will attend your party.
Your invitation should state clearly that you expect a response (RSVP) so you can plan the food and beverage requirements. Your invitation can mention that all attendees will be expected to put money into a "kitty" to pay for food and beverage, and you should tell them how much this will be. Don't expect everyone to RSVP, however, as some people will show up without informing you of their intentions.
Initially you can figure that a party will cost about $15 to $20 per person, based on about $7 worth of sandwiches and snacks and about $11 worth of drinks (beer, wine, etc.). You can plan to purchase food and drink at this rate, and if you run out you can go out for more later. We have always found that people are willing to help if this happens. A good deli can make up nice sandwiches. Some people have been very successful with ordering pizza. An assortment of beer can be figured at an average of two per person. A few bottles of a reasonably priced wine is always good to have, plus plenty of sodas, figuring at least two per person on the average.
DPF has also made arrangements with a company that can provide fun party set-ups at a very reasonable cost (DPF makes no commission on these sales). Please take a look at PartyShop
If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact Tommy .
A Few Restrictions
The only things that is not permitted at a DPF sponsored Party is (1) anything that is illegal, such as drugs for example, and (2) anyone under the age of 18. Sex between consulting adults is legal and is therefore acceptable, provided it is a private affair and not done in public.
I am sure that with these Guidelines (and few restrictions) more and bigger AB/DL will soon be taking place everywhere.
Most Sincerely,
